Police: Owensboro man used hatchet in RV break-in

OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

An Owensboro man is in jail on burglary charges.

Police arrested 37-year-old Steven Tong after they say he hit another man with a hatchet.

Officers say Tong broke into an RV in the 2000 block of Triplett Street and started swinging the weapon.

The man was hit and taken to Owensboro Health for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say Tong admitted he thought his girlfriend was cheating on him with the man.

Tong is charged with first degree burglary and second degree assault.

He's in the Daviess County Jail.
