Edwards Co., IL teen pleads guilty in baby shaking case

EDWARDS CO., IL (WFIE) -

An Edwards County, Illinois teenager has pleaded guilty to aggravated battery of a child.

19-year-old Danny Hinds was arrested last June.

Officials say the two-month-old baby boy had several broken bones as the result of being violently shaken.

As part of a plea agreement, Hinds will be on house arrest until his sentencing which is set for October 6.

Hinds faces six to 30 years in prison.
