DAVIESS CO., KY (WFIE) - A food safety technology company in Owensboro could receive some financial help for an expansion project.
The Daviess County Fiscal Court is expected to vote on a motion Thursday that would give Hollison Technologies a five year, $300,000 loan.
Hollison officials say the money will be used to create 34 jobs—paying around $38 an hour.
"That's what you want to do as an entrepreneur," said Bo Barron, Vice President. "You want to create something that's valuable, that produces great benefit for our customers while growing to employ our neighbors and folks down the street. That feels fantastic."
County officials say if Hollison creates 34 new jobs in five years, $140,000 of the loan will be forgiven.
Hollison has already received $700,000 in state tax incentives.
