OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) - Owensboro firefighters will be spending Labor Day collecting money for the muscular dystrophy association.
Three local families impacted by the disease toured their station Monday afternoon.
Firefighters showed off the trucks and equipment.
The money they raise this weekend goes towards research and an MDA summer camp for kids.
One kid on the tour recently attended that camp.
"I liked swimming because I kept on playing and it was really fun," said Noah Payton.
The firefighters will be collecting donations at both Kroger locations in Owensboro all weekend.
