UNION CO., KY (WFIE) - People who live in Union County will see a 4% tax rate increase for the coming school year.
It was approved by the school board Wednesday night.
A general fund tax rate of 56-cents on property is expected to raise $5.3-million.
The rate for vehicles is 55-cents. The utility rate is 3%.
Much of the money will go toward instruction, student support services, transportation, and maintenance.
