City: Financing for McCurdy building should close by week’s end

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Financing for the McCurdy building in downtown Evansville should close by the end of the week.

Department of Metropolitan Development Director Kelley Coures says the city learned of a delay with the Kunkel Group's bank.

He says the Kunkel Group's attorney Shawn Sullivan doesn't know the reason for the delay.

The Kunkel Group says they want to turn the building into high-end apartments and retail space.
