EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The EVSC School Board approved a 2 percent raise for all non-certified employees for the 2015-2016 academic year.
School officials say a similar raise for teachers was announced at a previous meeting.
Due to state law, officials said those raises for teachers will not go into effect until school grades are released. That release is expected no earlier than December, according to the Indiana Department of Education. Those raises will be retroactive.
Coming up on Sept. 8 at 5:30 p.m., a public hearing will be held at the next board meeting regarding the 2016 budget.
