EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Officials are celebrating a large remodel at the Lampion Center in Evansville.
Work has been underway for about a year.
The non-profit provides counseling for families.
The building on South Hebron has been used by Lampion Center for 20 years, and was in need of an overhaul.
"Our staff and clients absolutely love the new building, and I think it's because when you come for counseling, you come for a place that feels safe and warm and comforting," said Jennifer Childress.
"And you know, we always do our best and we provide state of the art care, but the building didn't match that quality, and now it does."
A $35,000 grant from the Women's Fund of Vanderburgh County paid for the majority of Lampion Center's interior renovations.
