Proposals accepted to restore old Union Station depot in Henderson

HENDERSON, KY (WFIE) -

Henderson city commissioners are accepting proposals to restore the old Union Station railroad depot.

If they receive no proposals, we’re told the building will be demolished.

The land on Fourth Street is almost one acre, and it would be transferred "as is."

Commissioners say restoration costs could be up to a million dollars or more.

The deadline for requests for proposals is August 28 at 1:30 p.m.
