Two people jailed on drug and child neglect charges

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Two people are in jail on drug and child neglect charges in Evansville.

Police say they got a tip that meth was being sold out of a home on Warren Drive.

Officers say they found items used to deal meth in the home as well as syringes, and glass smoking pipes in the same bedroom where a newborn was sleeping.

Police say they also found meth and marijuana in 27-year-old Nicolas Powell's vehicle and a syringe and meth in Brittney Eddmenson's purse.

Both are charged with neglect of a dependent and possession.

Powell is also charged with dealing meth.

Three children in the home were taken into custody by Child Protective Services.
