City of Evansville to use different chemical in water treatment process

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Starting next Wednesday, different chemicals will be used in the Evansville water treatment process.

Periodically, the utility uses Free Chlorine, which is a stronger way to kill bacteria and viruses.

They'll use it this time until September 9.

Customers may notice a change in the smell or taste of their water.
