Henderson commissioners to consider repeal of alcohol ban at recreational facilities

HENDERSON, KY (WFIE) -

On Tuesday, the Henderson city commission will consider repealing the city's ban on alcohol in recreational facilities.

If the city's ban is revoked, the sale and consumption of alcohol in public parks will be allowed as long as the event has proper permits from the state.

Some believe alcohol at parks will help bring in bigger festivals and events to the riverfront and downtown areas.

This will be considered at the City Commission meeting on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
