GIBSON CO., IN (WFIE) - Sometimes a seat belt violation is more than a seat belt violation.
On Tuesday afternoon, a Gibson County deputy took off after a driver not wearing his seat belt.
When the deputy caught up to him, he saw the driver running around the front of his pickup truck toward the passenger door.
19-year-old Dylan Hart of Princeton was apparently trying to make it look like he wasn't behind the wheel.
As it turned out, Hart didn't have a driver's license.
But the deputy says he did have a hypodermic needle, which he says Hart tried to toss out of sight.
Hart is charged with possessing the needle and driving without a license.
