HENDERSON CO., KY (WFIE) - The Henderson County School Board will discuss the future of Spottsville Elementary on Monday night.
The school sits in a flood plain and has suffered water and mold damage through the years.
The district has already been approved to spend $14.3 million in bonding for a new building.
Now, the board is tasked with deciding to rebuild on the same property near where the school sits, or to purchase a new site.
After they come up with a few options, residents will be able to weigh in at the meeting on Spottsville Elementary.
The school board will finalize their decision on the school's new location at a later date.
