WARRICK CO., IN (WFIE) - Tri-State kids got a chance to play in fire engines and meet some heroes at the third annual Smile on Down Syndrome Trucks & Heroes event.
The organization provides vital services for people of all ages with disabilities.
Parents and kids met police, fire, medical and military officials.
More than 40 different businesses and groups brought in cars and trucks for everyone to check out.
Organizers say they're thrilled with the turnout.
"It's awesome to see them just sparkle inside and just can tell it brings out a different sense in them that just fills their body with job, and that's what it's all about," said Neil Reitz, McCutchanville Fire Chief.
The goal is to raise $10,000 for Smile on Down Syndrome.
