TRI-STATE (WFIE) - Many Tri-State families travel out of our area to enjoy summer activities. May I suggest that you explore some great destinations right here in our own back yard?
There are many attractions in the Tri-State for you and your family to enjoy.
Some obvious names come to mind like Holiday World, The LST, an Otters game at historic Bosse Field, The International Bluegrass Museum, Mesker Park Zoo and Ellis Park. There are many more attractions that you can visit in the Tri-State before the summer ends.
How about exploring the Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science and experience the Koch Theater? While you're in downtown Evansville, stop by the Reitz Home Museum or The Children's Museum of Evansville. Take a trip to the Evansville African American Museum.
Owensboro offers some great places to see as well, including Smothers Park on the riverfront. You can also visit the Owensboro Museum of Science and History.
Enjoy a day at any of our local parks and pools. Experience your local county fairs.
These are just a few ideas, there are many more options to choose from.
It's easy to live here and take these wonderful attractions for granted, but I encourage you to support them by visiting this summer with your family and friends.
