Puzzle Pieces in Owensboro raising money to complete building purchase

OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

Puzzle Pieces has kicked off its capital campaign, $60,000 dollars in 60 days, to finish the purchase of their building on Frederica.

Puzzle Pieces serves intellectually disabled kids and adults in Owensboro.

Founder and executive director of Puzzle Pieces, Amanda Owen, says so far, they've raise $10,000.

"We started off with 32 clients in 2012 and we're already up to 73, so we have grown substantially in the last three years and you know this is really just more than a fundraiser for us, this is making sure that we have this as our future home," says Owen.

Owen hopes to have all the money raised by September 10.

If you're interested in helping out, there's several things you can do.

You can drop by their location at 1512 Frederica Street in Owensboro. You can check out their website, puzzle-pieces.org. Or give them a call at 270-926-7813.
