Evansville woman finds bullet hole after hearing "fireworks"

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Every year, there are dozens of reports showing the sound of fireworks and gunshots are indistinguishable.

An Evansville woman learned that firsthand, finding a bullet hole in her window the morning after someone hit the house in the 1900 block of South Garvin Street.

The woman said she heard two shots late on the Fourth of July, but didn't call it in at first because she thought they were fireworks.

Sunday, police found a bullet in between the window panes at the home.
