Kentucky Bourbon industry is booming

Kentucky's Bourbon Industry is booming and not showing signs of letting up.  The Kentucky Distillers' Association says the state's bourbon inventory reached a 40-year high last year. Spirits at the Miller House has the largest bourbon collection in Kentucky and one of the largest in the world. There are more than 400 bourbons to choose from.

Interest in Bourbon is up globally. The Kentucky Distillers' Association says Kentucky distilleries filled one point three million bourbon barrels last year - the highest production mark since 1970.

The so-called Bourbon-boom isn't just good for distillers, but for the construction and tourism industries too.  The KDA says Bourbon makers have completed or are planning more than 1.3 Billion in new capital projects over the next 10 years to keep up with growing demands.
