EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - With the Fourth of July just a few days away, some kids in the Tri-State received a lesson on Old Glory from special guests.
Rolling Thunder spoke with children at Ark Crisis Child Care Center about the American flag.
The kids learned about what the stars and stripes represent and how to properly fold the flag.
Rolling Thunder members say this is a great opportunity for the kids to learn about American pride.
"They're never too young to hear the words of being a good American, of what our country stands for," says Tamara Caliendo. "When they hear it later, they'll understand it as they grow. But, we have to plant that seed. Too many people grow up and they don't appreciate the freedom of this country."
Rolling Thunder also donated books about America's history to Ark.
