Two dogs removed from Evansville home

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Two dogs have been removed from a home on Evansville's south side.

Evansville Police performed a welfare check on the animals on South Elliott Avenue and say they found bugs and trash all over the floor.

They say the dogs have fleas and were in poor health.

One of them, they say, has a bad cough.

Animal Control took the dogs, and the owners were cited.
