Candlelight vigil held in honor of man killed in officer-involved shooting

The family of the man who died after an officer-involved shooting at an Owensboro motel held a candlelight vigil at Kendall Perkins Park on Friday in his honor.

A few of Chrislon Talbott's cousins organized the event because they wanted to bring the community together and have a positive event after a bad situation.

His family told 14NEWS it felt great seeing so many people who showed up to remember their loved one.

“It was a tragic event, but all the people are making it feel so lovely,” said Chrislon's cousin, Voletta Burroughs.

The family are still grieving, but say they would eventually like some answers of what happened the night of the shooting.

Funeral arrangements are still being planned.
