SAN FRANCISCO, CA (WFIE) -

The story of a boy who wanted to be Batman captured the heart of the nation.

5-year-old Miles Scott had been fighting leukemia since he was 19-months-old.

Thanks to the Make a Wish Foundation and the City of San Francisco, his dream came true.

In November 2013, Miles became the pint-sized superhero, Batkid, for a day and San Francisco was transformed into Gotham City.

Better grab your tissues because his story is now the subject of a documentary film.

The trailer for "Batkid Begins" was released Thursday.

The film will be released in select theaters June 26.
