Perry Co. students receive “Hard Work” certification

Perry County High School students are getting certified for their hard work throughout this school year.

The Hard Work certification is a new program with Work One.

Juniors and seniors are graded on their attendance, community service, and an interview with teachers.

Thirty-six students are receiving the certification.

They say it was something they definitely wanted to be involved with.

“Colleges and employers see I'm showing up to class, getting my work done and doing everything that needs to be done to be successful,” says Luke Hilgenhold.

“Especially with hearing employers are disappointed with students not showing up to work, I think this will definitely help show that students have reached this goal,” added Emily Davis.

Work One approved this program for regional use and it will be in place in other corporations in the Tri-State next year.
