Music, art featured at First Friday event

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

The warm weather is bringing out the arts in Evansville.

It was First Friday at Haynie's Corner.

The event is a chance for people to come together and enjoy the arts. There was food and live music.

One of the performing groups was with D'alto Studio for the Performing Arts.

Alax Luegers, one of the instructors at D'alto, says these events help everyone to get a taste for the arts.

"It's really great because people of all walks of life can come down here, and it's like you're already friends,” said Luegers. “Everyone in the arts seems to be super friendly and super open. You can strike up conversations and make friends all over the place."

First Fridays happen the first Friday of every month until October.
