Hydrant flushing underway in Huntingburg

HUNTINGBURG, IN (WFIE) -

Huntingburg residents may notice some water in the streets over the next month.

The city is flushing out their fire hydrants as part of annual maintenance.

The water department says they will run the hydrants for about 5 minutes to make sure all valves are working properly.

Officials say they will take until the end of April to finishing all the flushing.

They say in the meantime, be sure to run cold water when washing clothes first to prevent any minerals from staining the clothes.
