USI softball to face Missouri S&T in Springfield, MO

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Due to soggy field conditions in Rolla, Missouri, the University of Southern Indiana softball team's doubleheader with Missouri University of Science & Technology Sunday has been moved to Drury University's Thompson Field in Springfield, Missouri.

The move, which includes the Bellarmine University-Missouri S&T doubleheader Saturday, has also affected USI's doubleheader with Drury on Saturday.

USI and Drury will follow the Bellarmine-Missouri S&T doubleheader with a 2 p.m. start time on Saturday, while the USI-Missouri S&T doubleheader Sunday is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

The Screaming Eagles, ranked No. 17 in the latest NFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll, enter this weekend's play with a 15-3 overall record and a 2-2 mark in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.

This weekend's games begin a 12-game road trip for the Eagles, who have only played four home games.
