VANDERBURGH CO., IN (WFIE) -

An Evansville man was hospitalized after his truck ran off the road Wednesday night.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office says the driver was headed north on Mesker Park Drive when he lost control in the snow.

His pickup hit a guardrail and a concrete culvert before ending up in a ditch.

Deputies say 51-year-old Stephen Anthony Morris of Evansville wasn't wearing a seatbelt and hurt his head in the crash.

Morris' 16-year-old son was a passenger, but he was wearing his seat belt and was not hurt.

The sheriff's office is still investigating because deputies say alcohol was found to be a factor in the accident.
