Henderson's Audubon Kids Zone making progress

HENDERSON, KY (WFIE) -

The much anticipated Audubon Kids Zone in Henderson is making progress.

The city just received a $175,000 grant from the Raymond Preston foundation. This additional funding will allow construction to begin sooner than planned.

Building will now happen this spring, instead of later this summer.

The Audubon Kids will be a children's service on the east end of town.

The goal is to help kids in the area reach their full potential through academics and guidance with different career paths.

The Audubon Kids Zone should be up and running by January first of next year.
