Here are the latest food inspection reports from the Vanderburgh County Health Department as submitted to WFIE:

Violations:

Xcess, 201 B S. Fulton Ave., 2 non-critical violations: cutting drink garnishments without gloves, reach-in refrigerator shelves soiled

Hardee's, 1021 S. Weinbach, 1 non-critical violation: tile flooring in prep area needs repair

KFC/Taco Bell, 4422 W. Lloyd Expressway; 1 critical violation: some gnats present by storage area and soft drink machine.

Burger King, 1031 Covert; 1 non-critical violation: Flooring needs repair

Work 'n Roll, 311 S. Green River Rd., 1 non-critical violation: utensils stored in standing water.

China Garden, 501 Main; 4 critical violations: scoops needed for bulk products, food containers stored on floor, no date marking for food held more than 24 hours, grease trap maintenance log not current; 5 non-critical violations: non-food contact surfaces soiled, food prep unprotected from cross contamination, can opener pitted and uncleanable, equipment & utensils not being air dried, person in charge not knowledgeable.

    A candlelight vigil is planned for the teen killed in an ATV crash. DNR officers say 14-year-old Caleb Poehlein went to pass a friend on another ATV, lost control, and crashed.

     A multi-million dollar expansion project at the Daviess County Library could take longer to complete.
