cMoe teaches kids about Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Although the Children's Museum of Evansville is typically closed on Monday, they're open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Throughout the day, the museum has story time and crafts designed to teach kids about Dr. King's life and goals.

Students heard a cMoe employee read the book "Happy Birthday Dr. King" and discussed the importance of his vision.

One of the Dr. King-inspired crafts is a color-by-number picture that spells out, "Judged not by the color of their skin, but by their character."

Many parents colored alongside their kids, explaining the meaning of one of Martin Luther King Jr.'s most famous lines.

cMoe is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
