A Muhlenberg County private academy with kindergarten through eighth grade is expanding - to make room for 9th graders. Administrators say enrollment is up 30 percent at Act Christian Academy since it opened in 2013. Right now, school officials are planning to hire additional teachers and staff because, beginning the fall of 2015, they expect to have a freshman class. Enrollment will start in a few weeks.
"It's actually a dream come true because we are actually watching a vision that came in 2013 become a reality. And we are going to see our third campus actually open up this fall," said Emily Carden, ACT Christian Academy Headmaster.
