INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - NBC affiliate WTHR is reporting that an Indianapolis Colts linebacker is facing possible felony charges including rape for an incident late last month.
According to WTHR, Josh McNary has been preliminarily charged with felony counts of rape and criminal confinement and a misdemeanor count of battery resulting in bodily injury.
The charges are for an incident that was reported December 1, 2014. The Marion County Prosecutor's Office will review the case and decide whether to go forward with formal charges.
McNary signed with the Colts as a free agent in April 2013. He played in five games last year and 15 this past season, including four starts. He has recorded 42 total tackles and a half-sack in his time with Indianapolis.
McNary played his college football at Army.
