EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Vectren is adding new rebates to their energy efficiency programs.
New starting today is a $100 rebate toward a Wi-Fi enabled programmable thermostat. Vectren is also increasing its rebate for electric appliance recycling from $30 to $50.
They're also continuing their tiered rebate structure for natural gas and electric appliances put in homes. The rebate increases as the level of efficiency and initial cost to the consumer increases.
Electric customers can also still redeem cash rebates toward central air conditioners and heat pumps.
Business customers are also eligible for certain rebates.
Spokesperson Natalie Hedde says the program helps Vectren encourage customers to choose the most efficient appliances possible.
