EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The Indiana high school girls' basketball season has reached the half-way point, and the Central Bears are spending the holidays perfectly undefeated, at 10 and 0.
It's been quite a turnaround for the Bears' program. Just midway thru her second season, head coach Brittany Maners has helped guide the program's uprising.
Central improved from just 4 wins, two years ago, to a 17-win campaign, last year.
Now, so far this season, the Bears are unbeaten, despite having only one upperclassman: Texas Tech signee, Zuriel Sanders, and only two other girls who saw significant varsity minutes.
