Fight, shots fired in Madisonville

MADISONVILLE, KY (WFIE) -

Two people are jailed after police say there was a fight and shots fired in Madisonville.

It happened around 7:30 pm on Christmas Eve outside a home in the 300 block of Dulin Avenue.

Witnesses told police that several people in a black truck were involved in a fight with guests at a Christmas party over cars blocking the road.

Police say the driver of the truck, 21-year-old Julian Pena, pulled out a gun and fired 10 to 12 rounds in the air.

One bullet hit a neighboring apartment and was found in a closet near a child's playroom.

Pena is charged with DUI, wanton endangerment and possession of marijuana.

36-year-old Tina Pena is charged with disorderly conduct, menacing and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
