Myles Bell returns to Evansville

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE)

The Albany Devils of the AHL have reassigned forward Myles Bell to the Evansville IceMen. Before leaving Evansville, Bell scored a team leading eight goals and dished out six assists.

Bell's 14 points ties him for second on the IceMen with Matt Lowry and Brandon Wong. The IceMen are 0-2-1-0 since the rookie was recalled to Albany.

In just his second professional game, Bell scored his first two goals in the IceMen's loss against the Indy Fuel on Oct. 31. The Calgary native also found the back of the net in the shootout that night.

On Nov. 7, Bell netted three goals to record his first pro hat trick and help the IceMen to a 6-3 win over Wheeling. The former Kelowna Rocket dropped the gloves in his first professional fight on Nov. 29 at Elmira.

Bell sparked the IceMen offense with a goal and two assists in the IceMen's loss to Indy on Dec.3. He was recalled to Albany the following week.

A former 40 goal scorer in the WHL, Bell is expected to join the IceMen as they wrap up their six game home stand. They will host the Reading Royals on Friday and Saturday night inside the Ford Center at 7:15 p.m. The Royals and IceMen will meet for the first time in 2014-15 as Evansville continues its four games in five nights stretch before the holiday break.

Fans are encouraged to bring donation items to Friday night's game as the IceMen give back to those less fortunate during the holiday season. Donate a children's coat to the IceMen office by 4 p.m on Friday and you will receive a free kids ticket to Friday's game.

Come celebrate the holidays with the IceMen on Saturday night as the first 3,000 fans through the doors will receive a free IceMen stocking. Evansville players will wear “Ugly Christmas Sweater Jerseys” that will be auctioned off after the game.
