Sydney gunman holding hostages

Police in Sydney are negotiating with a gunman who's holding an unknown number of people hostage in a downtown cafe. Five hostages escaped earlier in the day.  TV footage shot through the cafe's windows showed several people with their arms in the air and two people holding up a black flag with the Shahada, or Islamic declaration of faith, written on it, thought that has not been confirmed. The latest on Sunrise.

Cloverleaf update

Expect major delays at the Lloyd and Highway 41 interchange this week, especially during the rush hour and for drivers headed eastbound, as construction project continues.

Mild, rainy, then cooler

Low pressure taking shape in the central plains will move northeastward toward the Great Lakes on Tuesday. This will drag a cold front through the area resulting in rain chances increasing today. Rainfall totals don`t look very impressive with most locations seeing under a quarter of an inch. Byron has the complete forecast.
