Daviess County Economic Development Advisory Board to meet

An Owensboro company could announce a multimillion dollar expansion project soon. The Daviess County Economic Development Advisory board will meet Tuesday morning to discuss an economic fund proposal that would help Specialty Food Groups expand. Last month the state approve 2.2 million dollars in tax incentives for an expansion project that would create up to 65 new jobs. "We've been very successful over the last few years creating jobs and enticing considerable investment into this community and I hope that the meeting in the morning is just as successful as past meetings have been," said Daviess County Judge Executive Al Mattingly.

The Daviess County Fiscal Court has set aside one million dollars to help attract new businesses and jobs. The board will meeting tomorrow morning at 7:30.
