HENDERSON, KY (WFIE) - In an effort to bring business to Henderson, officials have appropriated $64,000 for their Wayfindings Signage Project.
Over the past few months, city workers have been putting up signs after receiving $50,000 of coal severance money. They'll now put more signs up, along the US-41 strip, the Pennyrile, and other areas, and will point to special locations in hopes of boosting tourism.
The city has also received money from the Preston Foundation, the County of Henderson, and the Kentucky League of Cities.
Mayor Steve Austin says they should start to be posted next year.
