No orange barrels on most KY roadways over the holiday

FRANKFORT, KY (WFIE) -

Here's a reason to be thankful: the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says construction on most major roadways in the state will be stopped through the holiday weekend.

Still, drivers are being told to watch our for lane closures in many locations.

Some areas where construction will be halted for the holiday include:

· I-69/Pennyrile Parkway Interchange, Hopkins County – Travelers restricted to one lane for northbound and southbound traffic along the Pennyrile Parkway.

· Audubon Parkway, Henderson County – Reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction near mile point 11.5. A median crossover will move travelers from the eastbound lane to the westbound side past the construction and then back.

Call 511 or log on to 511.ky.gov for the latest traffic and travel information in Kentucky.
