Roadside Trash to Cash

 More than sixty non-profits are cleaning up the community and raising some cash.  

The Daviess County Solid Waste Department is taking applications for Cash for Trash. Organizations are paid 150 dollars for every mile of trash picked up along the road. Saving Paws Animal Rescue of Kentucky volunteers have participated in the past. More than 500 dollar raised went towards vet bills. "Things like trash for cash are a big help for us because it's an opportunity. We can go out and help the community pick up trash and get a healthy about of money," said John Austin,  Saving Paws Animal Rescue of Kentucky.
