Police in Trail Creek, a community 60 miles east of Chicago, say 54-year-old Thomas Arndt was brought to Saint Anthony's Hospital in Michigan City where he was pronounced dead. Police say they received a 911 call about 1 p.m. Sunday from someone reporting an argument. During the call someone yelled that there had been a stabbing.
State police say a suspect was taken into custody at the scene by Trail Creek police. The name of the person taken into custody is being withheld until formal charges are filed.
