UE women's basketball adds five during fall signing period

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - University of Evansville women's basketball head coach, Oties Epps, announced the signing of five student-athletes on Thursday to National Letters of Intent during the fall signing period.

The Purple Aces' fall signing class includes high-school standouts Jordan Campbell (Montgomery, Ill. / Oswego), Camille Coleman (South Bend, Ind. / South Bend Washington), Kerri Gasper (Olmsted Township, Ohio/  Olmsted Falls), Tattenai Hall (Fort Wayne, Ind. / Heritage), and Erin Sinnott (Oswego, Ill. / Oswego).

JORDAN CAMPBELL, 5-11, FORWARD

MONTGOMERY, ILL. (OSWEGO)

Notable:  Averaged 10 points and 8 rebounds per game her junior year…was named all-conference this past season.

Coach Epps on Campbell:  “Our women's basketball program is excited to welcome Jordan to our Purple Aces family. Jordan is an athletic forward that has good skills and touch around the basket. In addition to this she is able to create off the dribble and she will be a versatile defender for us.”

CAMILLE COLEMAN, 5-7, GUARD

SOUTH BEND, IND. (SOUTH BEND WASHINGTON)

Notable:  Averaged 11.0 points per game during her sophomore and junior seasons…Also averaged  4.5 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game….was second team as a sophomore and junior….scored 31 points in a game twice as a junior.

Coach Epps on Coleman:  “We are excited to welcome Camille and her family into our program. Camille is a combo guard that will give us added scoring and versatility on the perimeter. She is a confident player with a high basketball IQ and excellent shooting ability. “

KERRI GASPER, 5-10, FORWARD

OLMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, OHIO (OLMSTED FALLS)

Notable:  Averaged 15 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.3 steals per game last season…was named 1st Team All-Conference twice…2nd Team All-District…All-Ohio Honorable Mention…All Sun News Basketball Team.

Coach Epps on Gasper:  “Kerri is an excellent addition to our program. She is a blue collar kid that gets things done on the basketball court. She is perhaps the most competitive kid that we have ever recruited. Her basketball IQ and all around ability will allow her to make an immediate impact within our program. Kerri and her family are a welcomed addition to our program.”

TATTENAI HALL, 6-0, FORWARD

FORT WAYNE, IND. (HERITAGE)

Notable:  Averaged 13.4 points and 10.3 rebounds per game her junior season…also averaged 1.1 blocks per game.

Coach Epps on Hall : “We are excited about the addition of Tattenai to our women's basketball program. Tattenai is a strong back to the basket post player with an emerging ability to shoot the ball from 15 feet. Her size and ability to rebound and defend in the paint will be a welcomed addition to our front court.”

EMILY SINNOTT, 5-10, FORWARD

OSWEGO, ILLINOIS (OSWEGO)

Notable:  Averaged 14 points and 8.2 rebounds per game her junior year….led team in steals…was 2nd team All-Area…Named All-Conference…Selected as Conference Co-MVP…Sectional Finalist.

Coach Epps on Sinnott:  “We are excited to welcome Erin and her family into our program. Erin is a stretch 4 player that will allow us to be more versatile within our motion offense. She has a strong work ethic and will give us added depth in our front court.”

Evansville is 1-1 this season and will continue a five game road trip on Friday, November 21 at IPFW. The tip is set for 6:00 p.m. at the Hilliard Gates Sports Center.

UE's next home game will be on Saturday, December 6 against Miami (Ohio) for a 4:00 p.m. tip at the Ford Center.
