HUNTINGBURG, IN (WFIE) - A drunk driver gets one year in jail for an accident that killed a Huntingburg man.
Under a plea agreement, 23-year-old Brian Hakenjos also was sentenced to one year work release and two years probation.
Hakenjos lost control of an SUV while driving on County Road 400 South in Huntingburg last January.
The Jeep went off the road and turned over in a creek. Hakenjos and three passengers managed to get out.

The sheriff's office said Hakenjos had a blood alcohol level nearly twice the legal limit at the time of the crash.
Hakenjos license has been suspended. When he can drive again, he'll be required to have an ignition interlock on his vehicle for three years.
Hakenjos has also been ordered to pay Ebert's father $17,000 in restitution.
