EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Volunteers with the Evansville Rescue Mission were at Schnuck's on Saturday collecting food for their annual Gobbler Gathering.
The event, which is in its 92nd year, is meant to make sure no one goes hungry on Thanksgiving.
Volunteers were accepting food and money donations to help them serve 2,000 people this year.
The pastor for the mission says he's grateful for the partnership and for the generosity of the community.
"We help the hurt, the homeless, the addicted, the abused, and for us to be able to give back to a community that so graciously gives to us whenever we are in need is just tremendous," said Joshua Nichols, Evansville Rescue Mission pastor.
