Snow headed for the Tri-State

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 6 pm Sunday to 6 am Monday CST.

14 First Alert meteorologist Eric Garlick says Sunday temperatures will climb above freezing but a cold front from the north and a low pressure system will come together to make temperatures drop low enough for snow and sleet late Sunday.

1 -3 inches of snow are possible with some areas getting up to four inches. The higher amounts will be along and north of the Ohio River.

Temperatures will fall into the upper 20's for highs after the snow ends before the morning commute on Monday.

Counties included in the Winter Weather Advisory include Vanderburgh, Gibson, Pike, Warrick, and Spencer in Indiana; Union, Webster, Hopkins, Henderson, Daviess, McLean, and Union in Kentucky; and Wayne, Edwards, Wabash, and White in Illinois.

With snow on the way, you'll want to make sure you have the very latest information on our weather conditions.
