EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - After spending the past 3 seasons making a name for himself on the basketball courts of the SIAC, Adam Eberhard has decided to ply his trade in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with one of the home town team's biggest rivals.
And Thursday the 6-foot-7 small forward made it official, putting pen to paper, signing on the dotted line with the Knights of Bellarmine.
"USI and Coach Watson recruited me hard, but you know, at the end of the day Bellarmine was just a better fit. Especially from Memorial to Bellarmine, almost identical, academically, which is the most important part. Coming from a private catholic school, Bellarmine's the same way. Athletically, almost identical as well. The system that coach Wilgus runs compared to coach Davenport, it's almost identical. So it was a really, really decision for me," said Eberhard.
