Taking a Stand: Four Freedoms Veterans Parade

Taking a Stand: Four Freedoms Veterans Parade

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The fifth annual Four Freedoms Veterans Parade is fast approaching.

This year the parade will take place on Saturday November 8th at 2:30 along Riverside drive in Evansville.

I am here to invite everyone to come out watch the parade.

This parade is hosted by the River City Thunderbolt Military Vehicle Collectors Club and the American Legion Riders Post 265. For information call (866) 511-8712.

The parade will include numerous restored military vehicles, anything from a Jeep up to and including 5 ton cargo trucks.

Not to mention the 300 to 400 veterans that will be in the parade, including the 70 veterans that were part of the recent Honor Flight out of Evansville.

It is now time for this community to come out in force to support and honor all of our veterans as they participate in the parade.

These men and women have sacrificed so much and it is such a small thing to ask that you come out to wave to them and thank them for what they have done.

This small act of kindness on your part will mean so much to these veterans.

There will be a reviewing stand at Walnut Street where prior to the start of the parade the Signature Singers will be performing.

A short ceremony will occur at the reviewing stand including music by Gina Moore and Cassandra Waters.

I am asking that you invite and remind family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors, to come out and be part of this annual event.

We will see you and all of the other patriots Saturday November 8th at 2:30 lining Riverside Drive in downtown Evansville.
