VANDERBURGH CO., IN (WFIE) - Here are the latest food inspection reports from the Vanderburgh County Health Department as submitted to WFIE:

  • Evansville Lutheran School, 120 E. Michigan, 1 non-critical violation: condensation dripping from SS freezer in kitchen
  • Denny's, 5212 Weston Rd., 2 non-critical violations: dish machine soiled, floor and wall at cooking area soiled
  • Taco John's, 1 non-critical violation: storage shelving soiled with cinnamon and sugar
  • Subway, 510 N. St. Joseph Ave., 1 non-critical violation: reach-in at line lacking temperature measuring device
  • Little Caesars, 130 N. St. Joseph Ave., 1 critical violation: gnats present at dish area; 1 non-critical violation: walk-in cooler needs serviced
  • Mama Roma's Pizza & Wings XPress, 2008 Morgan, 3 critical violations: no certified food safety employee, grease trap maintenance log not current, flies present; 1 non-critical violation: vent hoods need cleaning

    We have an update on a deadly fire in Ohio County.  Another child has died as a result of the mobile home fire that happened earlier this month.  Christin Henry posted the sad news on Facebook late Sunday. Ireland was seven-years-old. Her brother, four-year-old brother John-Ross Henry, died at the hospital two weeks ago.  Two-year-old Ivy Henry was found dead inside the home the day of the fire.     Crews finish final preparations for 2018 Vanderburgh county fair

    For a week now, crews have been putting up rides, tents, and stages at the Vanderburgh County 4-H Center for the annual county fair. Officials say that preparations for this year's fair began immediately following the 2017 fair, but today was all about putting the finishing touches on the week-long event.
